From the aforementioned evidence of alteration of Thai everyday life, it can be concluded that globalisation embodies negative and positive traits, yielding numerous impacts upon Thai society in cultural aspect. Nevertheless, it seems that disadvantages far outweigh advantages because authentically Thai culture tends to be at risk of being overwhelmed and destroyed by Western cultures. A sense of national identity and ethnicity of individuals and groups could be lost unless Thai people are careful about the retention of their own unique culture and there are great deliberations on wide application of globalisation to modernising the country.
