Our results by AAS analysis have shown that while
in combination I, Salvinia showed maximum accumulation of Co
followed by Cr and Zn, in combination II, highest preference was
seen for Cu followed by Co and Cr. In combination III, Cu and Fe
accumulation was higher than Ni and in combination IV, Zn accumulation
was highest followed by Mn and Cd. In combination V,
Fe accumulation was highest followed by Pb and Ni. In combination
VI, accumulation of Fe was highest followed by Pb and Cu. A
consequent decrease in exogenous metal concentration in solution
confirmed the removal of these metals
