Psychologists were instructed to monitor the participant's progress
in the program and to be proactive, meaning that they should actively
contact the participant if they did not hear from them in one week's
time or if they did not see any activity in the program. Instructions
regarding feedback on participants' e-mails were to keep the feedback
short and if possible refer to the program, help participants with active
problem solving if they were stuck or did not understand some part of
the program and finally to validate the work and struggles participants
reported.
