Results showed a full mediation model of media vicarious traumatization between commercial media use and anxiety, and between overseas media use and anxiety. It suggested that commercial media exposure increases anxiety both directly and indirectly by increasing media vicarious traumatization. Similarly, overseas media exposure increases anxiety both directly and indirectly by increasing media vicarious traumatization. In contrast, there is only an indirect effect of official media exposure on anxiety, and an indirect effect of social media exposure on anxiety
