The present investigation focused on determining the impact
of glucose concentration and oxygen availability on blastospore
formation in liquid culture and on the post-production
aspects of these blastospores including desiccation tolerance
and biocontrol efficacy against B. tabaci nymphs. We have
shown for the first time that the combination of high glucose
concentration along with increased dissolved oxygen
availability enhanced yeast-like growth resulting in the rapid
production of high blastospore concentrations by submerged
