In summary, a simple and sensitive colorimetric H2O2 sensor using triangular silver nanoplates has been developed, which takes advantage of the unique optical properties of the Ag triangular nanoprisms and the etching effect of H2O2 with various concentra- tions. The triangular Ag nanoplates undergo facile oxidative etching reaction with H2O2 and yield Ag nanodisc. The sensing system shows good characteristics in terms of high specificity, wide lin-
ear range (50 nM−1 �M) and low detectionlimit (1.36 nM) towards
H2O2 detection. Based on the results, we provided a simple, highly sensitive, selective, visual and colorimetric method for the detec- tion of H2O2.
