Buriram Rajabhat University had a royal seal kindly bestowed by King Rama IX as its emblem. It is a picture of Atthathit Throne with a discus. In the center of the discus is a Thai consonant "O-ang" and a vowel "u" or figure "9" and is surrounded by halos. Above the discus is a white seven-tiered umbrella of kingship situated in the throne. This means that the king is very powerful on earth. On the auspicious occasion of his traditional accession to the throne, he sat on Atthathit Throne, and all members of the parliament offered him holy water collected from eight directions at his coronation ceremony.
