Results indicated that under the optimum operating range for process, the COD removal efficiency reached 95.6% for initial concentration 190 mg L−1. The optimum values were determined for the peroxi-electrocoagulation process: [current density] = 20 mA cm−2, [hydrogen peroxide concentration]= 2 mg L−1, [electrolysis time]= 60 min, [mean energy consumption]= 2.5 kWh (kg Azithromycin)−1 and [pH] 3.0. Also, the results of kinetic studies were best fitted the pseudo- second- order equation.
