The results showed significant differences (P≤0.05) with respect to the origin of
the samples in vegetative, reproductive and yield traits, except in the number of fruits per
cluster (Table 1). An average of 9.1 fruits per cluster was determined, which largely
reflects the characteristics of the type of genetic material studied. In wild tomatoes from
Guerrero (GUE-18) and Hidalgo (PH-111), from 5 to 7 fruits per cluster were reported by
Vasquez-Ortiz et al. (2010), and in this work with wild and semi-domesticated tomatoes,
a range from 7 to 11 was obtained (Table 3).
