equally by about 15-percentage points in Trailblazer and 24-percentagepoints in Alamo compared to controls. Under alternating temperatures 1 mM GA did not affect TGP values of Trailblazer seeds, but 2 mM GA decreased germination relative to the control from94% ± 1.3 to 80% ± 4.0. While solutions containing 2 mM GA did not affect TGP values in Alamo seeds germinated under alternating temperatures, 1 mM of GA increased germination with respect to the control from 79% ± 4.5 to 96% ± 3.3. The two main effects, temperature regime and GA dose, were significant in the lowland cultivar Kanlow (P = 0.0001 and P = 0.0316, respectively) (Table 2).TGP values at alternating temperatures were always higher than those at a constant temperature in all the incubation solutions, averaging 64% ± 2.7 and 47% ± 2.2, respectively. At both temperature regimes, TGPs recorded for Kanlow seeds incubated in 1 mMGA (61% ± 3.8) were higher than TGPs for the control (50% ± 3.5).In the low-dormancy cultivar Expresso, the use of gibberellins at any concentration was highly detrimental under both temperature regimes (Table 2).
