Display type is normally restricted to a few words and presents fewer problems due to its size, weight, and dominant position in the design area. The designer should, however, look carefully at title spaces between characters and words in larger type sizes. Pairs of letters may need kerning to aid readability. Where several words are involved, one or more word spaces may need to be optically balanced to counteract the effects produced by the shapes of the last and first letters of the words at either side, which may be exaggerated at display sizes
