Montana
Montana is a large state in the mountainous western part of the United States. It lies along the Canadian border between North Dakota and Idaho, South Dakota lies to the southeast, and Wyoming lies to the south Montana is a vast, rugged land of tall mountains and wide, open plains. This state is often called The Big Sky Country for the awesome view from its plains. Helena, the capital of Montana, is a major trading and supply center. Helena sprang up after 1864, when gold was discovered at a camp called Last Chance Gulch. The main street in Helena is still called Last Chance Gulch. Billings, Montana's largest city, lies on the Yellowstone River. Great Falls is Montana's second largest city. It lies near the falls of the Missouri River.
