V. CONCLUSION
After analyzing the research gap in manufacturing
interoperability, this paper proposed a universal process
comprehension (UPCi) interface to regenerate high-level
process plan from shop floor part programmers. The novel
desingn of a dictionary-mechanism ensures the expansibiliy
of UPC i. The high-lecher process plan generated by UPCi is
encapsulated in a STEP-NC compliant data structure and can
thus provide a solid base to realise furthe interoperability
between a CNC machine and CAx system. Ar present .UPCi
mainly deals with several simple features. Future work will
focus on wider support of programming dialects and improve
complex features.
