Each chute has a corresponding cage that once full, descends to the ground floor by elevator at the latest 1 hour before departure of the flight, 15 minutes before departure of the truck. Everything is sorted and departs within a maximum of four hours except for the economy formula which is processed within the day. The packages depart by air or road though dedicated boarding zones and out-feed rail lines. Dangerous goods are transferred to a specific area to be handled by a specially trained team. That area also manages non-European packages with direct flights to China, Dubai, Singapore, and New York.
