This chapter is intended to serve as an introduction to resource materials used in the study of Buddhist texts in English. It suggests the students to read more Buddhist literary works written by famous scholars both in Asia and in the West. There are many books that meet not only important basic dhamma teaching and practicing, but also academic standard accepted by the societies of the learned scholars. Some books are traditionally the original texts, and certain books are about the dhamma instruction. What is more important, these books are selected as compulsory textbooks for contribution to the study of the dhammic English or English for Dhamma.
