Or, rather, how much has university personally changed you?
When I think of university I think of intelligent, like-minded people of great variety and opinion. I think of radical new ideas - things that really stretch your mind and free yourself from the constraints of your family's ideas and expectations.
How much does university change you? Is it the time when you really develop from a child to an adult? Are you almost unrecognisable to your former self?
I ask this because I need to change. I'm sick of the person I am and I'm sick of the people around me and I'm sick of my bleak outlook on life and I'm sick of college and the way I'm treated - a pushover and a total loser.
Basically, I hate who I am and I'm hoping university can change me. Especially the old confidence/self esteem. I don't want to live like this for this rest of my life :woo:
Final question: would you honestly say you're happy at uni? Do you prefer it to being at school/college?
