To be successful in intercultural communication, it
is essential that you know not only your own
culture’s rules but also the culture rules of the
person with whom you are interacting.
If you know the rules, the other person’s behavior
will make greater sense to you and you will be able
to control and modify your behavior to conform to
his or her expectations.
