2.6. Weight loss of coated fruit
During storage, the weight loss due to transpiration, respiration
and the difference between water content in fruit and external
environment was followed by weighing the fruits daily. The
changes in mass of fruit were recorded continuously in each tested
day at 25 C and 60e65% relative humidity. Water loss (%) was
defined on the basis of difference between the weight of fresh fruit
and stored fruit by the following equation:
