The cell-free broth (crude biosurfactant) achieved
a dispersion rate of 90% of the initial diameter of the oil, whereas
the dispersion rate obtained with the isolated biosurfactant was
50%. The results were observed when low amounts of isolated
biosurfactant were used (0.0125% concentration or 1/2CMC), thus
demonstrating the potential of these compounds in transporting
and solubilizing oil spots on marine aquatic environment
