Different agricultural residues and forest residues (garden
waste) locally from the villages in Maharashtra (India) region
nearby Nagpur have been collected. The selected biomass species
include cotton waste, sarcasa asoca leaf, soybean, wheat straw, rice
straw, coconut coir, forest residues (constant percentage of lignin
and cellulose). These biomass samples were dried in a laboratory
oven at 110 C to remove fuel moisture content. There might be
differences in biomass quality from different areas within the
region due to landscape quality, current and past land use,
Climatic conditions and socioeconomic capacities of the region.
Three different kinds of biomass fuels used are shown in Fig. 2,
namely cotton waste, Leaf, and soybean waste.
