Based on the findings of this study, there are
some suggestions for carrying out further research
on shared vision. Firstly, if there are more samples,
applying Structure Equation Model (SEM) is recommended.
SEM can be described as a combination
of factor analysis and path analysis. It provides
a method for dealing with various relationships
simultaneously (Ho, 2006). In addition, the
multiple regression method was applied with multiple
antecedents with 114 usable questionnaires.
The statistical results might not be able to detect a
true effect. Therefore, bigger sample sizes might
reduce this concern. Secondly, applying this proposed
model in other industries could be advantageous.
This proposed model was adapted from both
service organizations and manufacturers. Therefore,
these key antecedents should be applicable in
several types of industry and organizations. Lastly,
based on the empirical test results of this study,
leadership behaviors and organizational culture
have no influence on shared vision. However, extant
literature reveals that these two variables
should be able to contribute to shared vision. Therefore,
these two items may be included for further
study.
