The generic model used for the Aurora workshop acknowledged the variety of learning styles and preferences for ways of being among team members (and related it to recent research on the preferred learning style of planners and members of the land professions). It carefully paced out activities so that participants could tolerate steps that might not be entirely congruent with their learning styles because other steps were more related to their styles. It also provided opportunities for people to monitor their feelings, reflections and moments of self-discovery.
