Most of the approaches to managing knowledge can
broadly be categorized into codification and
personalization [18]. Codification concentrates on
identifying, eliciting and storing knowledge as
information in repositories, which are expected to
support high-quality, reliable, and rapid reuse of
knowledge. Personalization resorts to fostering
interaction among knowledge workers for explicating
and sharing knowledge. Although this paper focuses on
the features of PAKME that support codification, this
tool also supports personalization as it not only provides
access to architectural knowledge but also identifies the
source of knowledge. That means it can also support a
hybrid strategy for managing knowledge [19]. Here we
briefly discuss the four main services of PAKME:
