The relationship between fish weight gain and dietary lipid level was assessed using the broken-line model, and a break point was obtained at 120 g kg−1 (Fig. 1), in agreement with data reported for other members of the family Sciaenidae such as Gulf corvina C. othonopterus (11.4%, Gonzalez-Felix et al., 2015) and Yellow croaker Pseudosciaena crocea (10.5%, Duan et al., 2001).
