U-CAR team present progressive report, what the team has done since starting Kaizen activities
1. Assessment to Trade-In Update
- Trade in percentages has grown to 50% since last 3 months according to 3 factors
1. Dealer increased buy in price (Bluebook from 87% to 89%).
2. Frequently coordination between negotiator and Management level
3. Inspection skill Improvement of inspector
- The reason that another 50% did not finish has 2 major factors
1. Customers expected price are higher than dealer offered price
2. Customers just checking for the price
- Inspection part
1. Inspector has more inspection skill than ever.
2. More accuracy in inspection skill can reduce the cost which cause from error of inspector
3. Because of the training inspector can reduce inspection L/T from 44mins to 23 mins
4. There are 2 parts of inspection quality
4.1 General inspection (Car damage ex. Extirior interior engine and frame) has done by inspector
4.2 Pricing inspection (GS/BP) has done by GS staff
Team purposed that Mr.Kenji will train both inspector and GS staff at the same time everyday and Ms. Siriwan agreed with the idea. And Mr. Sosak also commented that the inspector turn over rate is high he wanted GS staff to
stand by full time support(GS staff has been assigned already).
2. Re-establish SOP (Recondition)
- Explain the car wash working process and Create SOP
- Reduce lead time
Car wash process from 90mins to 52mins
- Confirm about Lead time of recondition process of Job size S can finish within 1* day * Depend on Weather and Vehicle coming time

- Kick off Meeting was tentatively set on July 19,2011
- Inspection Training
> Bangkuwad: We have to confirm that we will move to Bangkuwad branch next week or not.
> Ramkamhang: We will expand to after Bangkuwad Branch
4. Discussion point
- KPI
Introduce the concept of Ucar Target setting and have conflict on origin value :
U car team's target base on New car Target
TF's target base on sourcing of each departments.
Conclusion: collect more information and do the comparison between both targets and will discuss again in the next weekly meeting.
- Wholesale Operation SOP
TF Team Members and we are going to start open all vehicles which are specified as wholesale vehicle in U-PI.
Although, K.Somsak saids that he needs to get the price from tent immediately by compare the price via phone-call with TF Tent Connection (7Tents). and also use the U-PI system as a parallel by Inspector(K.Chet) to open the vehicle to U-PI by using iPhone Terminal and Negotiator (K.Mongkol) to send the SMS to tents.
Next Action Plan:
-Discussed about wholesale operation SOP for all vehicles and start open to U-PI System (Parallel with Phone-Call to the tents).
-We set our next Meeting schedule on Wednesday July 6,2011 at 1.30 PM.
