As Fig. 1 shows, the most effective cultivations were those using
the C. tropicalis and P. stipitis strains. As a result of these cultivations,
the total biomass content exceeded 12 g DM dm3
(12.1(±0.42) g DM dm3 for C. tropicalis and 12(±0.38) g DM dm3
for P. stipitis). The lowest biomass harvest, equal to
(6.3(±0.32) g DM dm3
, was observed for the C. guilliermondii yeast
cultivated with urea as a nitrogen source.
