Fruit was pureed in a juice
extractor (Turmix, Mexico) and sieved through a 4 mm
diameter mesh to separate seeds. Peels were ground for
10 min in a blender (Oster model BRLY07-200-013; Mexico
City, Mexico) and then sieved through a 15 mm
mesh. Ground peel and sieved pulp were mixed in a 1 : 9
(w/w) ratio
