Social networks (Handover of Work) is a process mining algorithm supported by “Prom” consisting of 3 main metrics as follows: working together metric, handover of work metric, and similar tasks metric. In this study, we focused and emphasized on the “handover of work” metric as we were interested in knowing more about the type (and extent of) interactions (as well as communications and workload contributions) between different originators (i.e., here doctors, surgeons and medical treatment personnel) within a specific ward/section of a hospital.
