with respect to samples packaged in control bags at the end of the
storage period. Chitosan was the most effective active bag with
respect to APC, total coliform and mold and yeast counts. Nisinwas
also effective on inhibiting the APCs, total coliform and mold and
yeasts. PS was found as effective on mold and yeast counts of
chicken drumsticks. Although the microbial counts of samples
packed with AgZeo were lower than the control samples, it was the
least effective one around the studied antimicrobials.
