PC samples were heated by microwaves and conventionally in
water, ethanol or isooctane to identify migrants and to evaluate the
effect of microwave heating. To extract the analytes from the
aqueous food simulants, the samples were subjected to headspace
SPME before the GCeMS analysis. The identified migrants were also
used as model compounds for partial least squares (PLS) analysis
with the aim to find correlations between the extraction efficiency
and analyte properties.
