Cornell University. RM00 amplifies a fragment containing the (CT)n
repeat in the putative 50 splice site leader intron of the Wx gene
which is located on the short arm of chromosome 6 (Tian et al.,
2005). RM204 is a linked marker associated with the QTLs for AC
and GC in many germplasms (Lanceras et al., 2000). This marker is
located on chromosome 6 at the genetic distance of 17.7 cM or
1.4 Mbps away from Wx locus.
