Pennsylvania has a very large Amish population, Holmes County, Ohio has the largest Amish population in the world.[61] While Pennsylvania owes its existence to Quakers and many of the older trappings of the Commonwealth are rooted in the teachings of the Religious Society of Friends (as they are officially known), practicing Quakers are a small minority today.
