Herein, naphthalene and 1-naphthol are used as examples for this target. The results of naphthalene and 1-naphthol adsorption on sulfonated graphenes are shown in Figure 3 . As indicated in Figure 3 A, the effect of the contents of sulfonated graphene sheets on the adsorption of naphthalene
and 1-naphthol suggests that the adsorption percentages of naphthalene and 1-naphthol increase with the increase of sulfonated graphene content in the suspension. When the content of sulfonated graphene sheets is higher than 0.15 g L − 1 ,more than 95% of 1-naphthol and naphthalene are adsorbed on the sulfonated graphene. Considering the low content of sulfonated graphene and the high efficiency of the organic pollutant removal from aqueous solutions, the sulfonated graphene may be a promising super material in organic pollution clean-up.
