Responsible finance is one of our Core Principles. It is our mandate to conduct business in a manner that is transparent, prudent and dependable, with the ultimate goal of delivering better outcomes for our clients and society. Depending on your role, you may see more than one section within this module. The behaviors listed below are meant to be illustrative. Manager ratings are required in this section.
Manage Risk and Compliance
Fulfill my responsibilities with respect to understanding and proactively managing risk and compliance, including Anti- Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions requirements:
• Appropriately assesses risk/reward relationships when making business decisions.
• Identifies risk inherent in particular situations or transactions and its impact on other areas of Citi/Citi as a whole.
• Acts in a manner that is consistent with our commitment to fairness, value and dependability.
• Adheres to corporate and business specific policies and considers appropriate controls as part of day-to-day responsibilities. (e.g., anti-money laundering)
• Contributes to a ‘no surprises’ compliance culture by managing control issues with candor. Resolves issues with urgency, recognizing and communicating the importance of timely escalation and escalating when appropriate
• Assure, as appropriate to my function, that risks, including money laundering and sanctions risks, are adequately identified, assessed, monitored, controlled and reported.
