I'm having trouble installing and receive an error. What can I do?
Uninstall/reinstall or Repair all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft .NET. Then, attempt the installation again.
You can download the latest supported Visual C++ Redistributables and .NET directly from Microsoft.
The latest supported Microsoft Visual C++ downloads
Microsoft .NET Framework - You'll need to have .NET 3.5.1 and the latest version installed on your system. Microsoft .NET 3.5.1 is installed by default on Windows 8.1 and needs to be turned on in Windows Features on Windows 10.
Below is a list of the Visual C++ Redistributables associated with our current applications. Additionally, plugins or other features can sometimes utilize portions of earlier redistributables. If, for example, you Repair the VS2012 redistributable and still see the issue, you may wish to Repair VS2008 as well.
Visual Studio 2012 Redistributable - Catalyst Browse, Catalyst Prepare, Movie Studio 13, Movie Studio 13 Platinum, Vegas Pro 13
Visual Studio 2008 Redistributable - ACID Music Studio 10, DVD Architect (both Pro 6 and Studio 5), Sound Forge (both Pro 11 and Audio Studio 10)
Visual Studio 2005 Redistributable - ACID Pro 7, CD Architect 5.2
If the above does not help resolve the issue, please gather your installer logs and submit a support request to our technical support team.
