shopping and modifying recipes to be healthier. “There
were… facts and things that I didn’t know… it made me
rethink… just a little bit more awareness of what you’re
eating and what things contain.”
Participants indicated that the booklet encouraged
them to think about physical activity and nutrition behaviours
(93%). Other supporting resources such as the
pedometer (70%), menu planner (81%) and shopping list
(88%) were all reported to be useful and were well received.

3.4.2. Newsletter
Participants reported that the newsletters were a useful
method of providing nutrition and physical activity information.
“They (newsletters) made you understand the
correct information about lots of topics (nutrition and
physical activity)”, “they (newsletters) helped to change
my behaviour as I now had information from the dietician
rather than a magazine.”
