The Challenge
The Customer was looking to consolidate Solaris server operations through a provider who could supply high quality solutions with professional service management. The Customer faced problems relating to product end of support (EOS) for the servers used and difficulties with many devices. Moreover, down-time of production systems were impacting the production process. Hence a more reliable system was required. FSBT addressed this challenge by proposing a complete solutions and service management suite that included value added options such as service performance, service management, price performance, and continuous improvement. The Customer was very impressed with FSBT’s solutions and strong technical track record, including our Fujitsu M10 server framework and reporting capabilities. HOYA’s IT team wanted to consolidate and backup their Solaris servers and IT application services based on the following objectives:
- To have the agility and ability to continuous transform existing server technology to consolidate servers on M10 series.
- To focus on their core businesses, especially Oracle solutions (M10 series)

During the initial month of discovery work, the customer was impressed with the professional approach of both our sale and service teams and our ability to work on an integrated solution focused on addressing HOYA business objectives. HOYA eventually selected us because they felt we were the right partner to help support their business expansion. Moreover, we were able to demonstrate that HOYA would benefit from a significant ROI through Fujitsu’s solution. The contract value is estimated at 32.4 million Baht (SGD1.3 M) over 5 years and we expect that revenue to increase as the customer expedites aggressive plans to expand business in Thailand and internationally.
Despite stiff competition, the team worked ambitiously to win over international vendors as NTT. The customer was impressed with our consultative approach, innovative solutions and responsive attitude and is confident in our abilities to provide the flexibility needed to match HOYA growth demands.
