The leaching of nitrogen, phosphorus, and copper over successive
storms is shown in Fig. 3, and storm-based removal efficiencies are summarized
in Table 2. The amounts of nitrates and total Kjeldahl nitrogen
(TKN) in the leachate decreased over successive storms; most of the nitrates
(80–100%) and TKN (66–74%) were eluted in the first three
