The Great Wall of China is about 4,000kilometers long and was built by the China to protect their northern villages from attackers. Today, many part of the wall are in ruins but some parts of the wall are solid and you can walk along the top. In the year 2000,a Maori lawyer,Nathan Hoturoa Gray, and four other hikers from different countries decided to walk from the western end of the wall to eastern end. This is where the wall meets the sea at Laolong Kou, which means "Head of the Dragon".
