However, there are certain disadvantages to this method:
o it may lead to a lack of qualitative depth (especially in the case of closed- question questionnaires)
o once the questions have been formulated, they cannot be modified according to the answers received, as is possible with some other methods
o answers can be given only to the questions that are asked (no new question can be added to follow up an answer, as is possible with some other methods)
o answers may be inaccurate, incomplete or distorted.
