A valid Document of Compliance (DOC) shall be on board. The Company shall in advance fax the valid DOC to the vessel or to the local agent. The DOC will therefore be on board when the new crew signs on.
2. A valid Safety Management System (SMS) shall be on board. The CSQEMS is on board when talking about Change of Flag.
3. The Master and relevant Senior Officers are familiar with the SMS. If the crew has to be changed as well, the Company will preferably use Masters and officers with previous company’s experience. However, a company specific ISM course shall be conducted if an entire new crew has to join a vessel.
