Chitinase production was carried out using the best
isolate. chitinase was produced after 48 hours onwards
but the optimum production was after 96 hours. After
96 hours the chitinase production was constant but
after 120 hours it was decreased. The production of
chitinase is shown by the zone of hydrolysis at
different incubation period of the fermentation at 37oC
as shown in the table 1 below.
