Journal Portfolio Assessments: This semester 40% of your course grade will be an assessment of your weekly Journal Portfolio, which will be explained in the first lecture. Basically, each week, here on LMS you will need to fill in a few tables to show me what you have been reading, practising and learning. The most important thing is to be HONEST. I do not care about how much work you accomplish, that is up to you to determine based on how much time you have available for each course of your study. But you must NOT falsely claim to do work that you have not understood. Most of your Journal Portfolio grade will be awarded for HONESTY not for skill or quality, although you should always be aiming for high quality of learning. It does not matter if you do not achieve high aims, but it is very important that you try, and most important that you progress and improve your understanding of statistics ideas and skills.
Always aim to improve yourself and do not worry about achieving high test scores. Most of your assessment for the course will be based on what you record in your Journal Portfolio, not your test scores. The test scores are really only for my benefit to assess the quality of teaching.
