A Rose For Emily was the story about the death of a girl by the name of Emily Grierson's death. Reading this book was telling the story of her life and how it ended in five parts. In the first part of the book, Faulkner describes Emily's death and how everybody in her little town had come to witness the tragic moment. The following sections of this book returns to once Emily had been alive. Here it discusses Emily's problem with the members of the Board of Aldermen, the loss of her father, and all of the problems Emily faced alone. Later in the book the narrator looks at how life changed after the death of young Emily Grierson.
