In the case of the irradiated sample, the information that the strawberry
was irradiated had a negative impact on the acceptance of the
judges (p ≤ 0.05) (session 2–session 1), demonstrating that the slight
decrease in the mean overall acceptance of the irradiated strawberry
between session 1 and session 2 (Fig. 2) was statistically significant
(p ≤ 0.05). This result shows that the judges feared irradiation technology,
leading to a lower acceptance of irradiated food.
