The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) says the ongoing improvement in international trade continues to produce growth in exports from key Asian manufacturing centers, helping to boost freight demand. AAPA says the region saw a 5.3 percent increase in international freight demand during September. Combined with a 4 percent growth in offered freight capacity, the average international freight load factor edged 0.8 percentage points higher to 64.1 percent for the month. "Sustained by regional economic growth, the first nine months of the year saw a healthy 4.6 percent increase in the number of international passengers carried by Asia Pacific airlines to a combined total of 190.6 million, said Andrew Herdman, AAPA director general. “During the same period, airfreight demand grew by 5.1 percent, continuing the positive momentum seen since the market bottomed out in the fourth quarter of 2013." - See more at: http://www.aircargoworld.com/Air-Cargo-World-News/2014/10/exports-boost-asia-pacific-freight/6850#sthash.orrz0Hke.dpuf
