MATERIALS AND METHODS
Juvenile zebra fish {Brachydanio rerio), neon tetra fish (Hyphessobrycon innesi) and brown trout
(Salmo trutta fario) with body lengths of 3, 2 and 9 cm, respectively, have been used in this study.
Fish were killed by decapitation and shallow grazing cuts were made through the dermis with
scissors to remove small portions of skin and their associated scales.
