In summary, a detailed discussion of projectile motion with quadratic air resistance in
approximation of low angle trajectory where the launching point is higher than the landing point has
been presented. Analytical solutions for the range and the time of flight are expressed in terms of
the secondary branch of the Lambert function 1 W . Our proposed solutions of range and flight
time were approved by a comparison with our solutions presented in a previous paper (Hadj
Belgacem 2014) when the height is equal zero. Even so, the comparison of our proposed solution of
the range with that obtained numerically shows an excellent agreement. As with linear and
quadratic air-resisted projectile motion, these results will be of interest to teachers involved in
undergraduate physics and applied mathematics courses.
