Donna Mills is from Castleton High School in Glasgow , Scotland . At the moment , she’s at school in the USA. She’s on a six-month school exchange visit at Hotchkiss junior High School in Kansas.
I’m very happy here in Hotchkiss. Some of my classes are easy and others are quite hard but all my teachers are fantastic .I’m in the choir and next Saturday we are singing in front of the whole school. I’m also in the basketball team and we are playing in Oklahoma next month. After school I sometime go to the International club, a special club for exchange students. There are students from all over the world – Japan, Africa, Sweden, Venezuela. We usually meet on Wednesday afternoon and we talk about our life here. It’s really interesting. Hotchkiss is a great school , everybody is friendly and helpful.
My host family is also very kind. They live on a big ranch and they’ve got lots of animals. When the weather’s hot and sunny we go horse riding or we look after the cows- it’s great fun. Next week is half term, no school for a week, and my family is taking me to New York . We’re going to visit the Empire State building and lost of the place .I’m really excited.
