An ABTS assay was determined using the method reported by Thabti et al. (2014). To produce an ABTS+radical cation, 7 mM of ABTS solution was mixed with 2.45 mM of potassium persulphate and after that, the mixture was allowed to stand in the dark at room temperature. Then, the ethanol was used to dilute the ABTS+solu-tion to an absorbance of 0.70 ± 0.02 at 734 nm. An aliquot (25 L)of each diluted sample or Trolox standard was added to 2 mL of
ABTS•+; after that, the absorbance was read at 734 nm. ABTS scavenging activity is presented as an IC50 value. Trolox was used as a reference compound.
